The Strand Theatre opened its doors on Main
Street in 1915, was renovated in 1956 and, sadly, was demolished in 1979.
Artist Blake Eames pays tribute to this bit of Lexington history with The
Strand. This two-sided horse depicts artistic styles from the 1915 and
1956 eras. In addition to her own artwork, Eames provides graphic, interior
and furniture design services.
