 |
The artist’s 13-year-old son – a die-hard Kentucky
fan – suggested this horse’s design. Attempting to avoid the obvious and without
abandoning the “Kentucky blue” her son had in mind, she moved forward with
a visually exciting and stimulated design. Spears has had numerous exhibits
in Kentucky and throughout the United States. A three-time Al Smith Fellow,
she is currently a Professor in the Department of Art at Eastern Kentucky
University.
