Le Coeur de Cheval explores the powerful mechanics of the horse’s physical body compared with its gentle heart. This unique animal, with its powerful body and machine-like characteristics, also has a quiet, gentle spirit with a desire to please. Elizabeth Dryden has covered the horse with hundreds of tiny, metallic metal objects, from nuts to keys to bottle caps, representing the horse’s power. An opening in the horse’s body shows the heart. Dryden has exhibited her work throughout the United States. She received a BA in Art Education from Texas Women’s University.
