Ashland Stud depicts the beauty of the gardens at Henry Clay’s estate. The dogwood-patterned ironwork from the garden gate is incorporated into the horse’s mask. Christy G. Buckner has based the horse’s design on a series of her paintings of the estate. Buckner studied Psychology and Studio Art at Transylvania University and has a Masters in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kentucky. Since 2006, she has worked as a painter and illustrator specializing in custom commissions of historic homes and landscapes.
